In May 2017 I visited the set of Avengers Endgame at Durham Cathedral. It was a glorious day where I met the wonderful Anthony and Joe Russo
At the time of my visit I believed the set was for Avengers: Infinity War, but when the film was released it became clear that it was actually Avengers: Endgame!
Seeing the location where I had walked the halls on filming days upon the big screen was magnificent and I longed to return, but for many years Durham Cathedral only allowed photography on select evenings. Recently that policy changed, and photography without the use of a flash is now allowed! I decided to return to the cathedral and visit Asgard once more!
The grandeur of the cathedral added an ethereal touch to the cinematic masterpiece that was Avengers Endgame, creating an otherworldly atmosphere fitting for my once home, Asgard.

“You think you’re the only one who lost people? What do you think we’re doing here? I lost the only family I ever had. Quill, Groot, Drax, the chick with the antenna, all gone. Now, I get you miss your Mom. But she’s gone. Really gone. And there are plenty of people who are only kinda gone. But you can help them. So is it too much to ask that you brush the crumbs outta your beard, make schmoopy talk to Pretty Pants, and when she’s not looking, suck out the Infinity Stone and help me get my family back?”
